Willow, Frio and I did a solo trek this morning because Dr. K went grocery shopping.  The three of us missed the wind by several hours, and it's not blowing very hard now--nearly quarter after one.

We did our usual hike, not seeing anybody else during the outing.  The weather was very pleasant, almost warm, as we got our daily exercise in.

We're supposed to hit 72F today, but the wind signals an incoming cold front.

Sunny Sunday Sojourn

Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I enjoyed a very pleasant hike on this sunny Sunday morning.  The wind was nonexistent, and the sun warmed us up nicely.

We did nearly the entire trek without seeing anyone else out there, but as we were heading up the right branch arroyo we saw the man and woman with their Basset Hounds trekking north along the ridge east of us.  No chance of encountering them, though, because they were quite distant from our position.

After our outing we took a long ride around several different neighborhoods while listening to a favorite Sunday morning sports talk show we particularly enjoy:  Sunday Morning with Matt Jones and Myron Medcalf.

A Pleasant Change

1st 4:  awesome clouds at start

Even though it was 35F when we set off this morning it felt warmer due to bright sunshine and lack of wind.  By the time we headed down LDR-A arroyo I was glad I'd worn only a light vest beneath my Marmot PreCip.  No need for ear band or gloves today.

Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our usual hike during our outing, and the weather conditions improved such that it felt almost springlike by the time we finished.

We all drove over to our local post office after our sojourn to mail a bill, after which we took a short ride around several different neighborhoods.

Comes and Goes

30F when we set off this morning, breezier than it was reported to be.  By the time we were heading down LDR-A arroyo the disturbance had abated.

However, at various points during our hike, the wind picked up again making it quite chilly.

When we finally climbed the steep hill west of the right branch the wind was blowing fairly hard.

It seems to have settled in the late morning as we're headed for a high of 63F.

Cold, Windy, but Sunny, Too

33F when we started off this morning; a stiff wind made it feel quite frigid.  The only thing that kept conditions relatively bearable was the bright sunshine.

It was too cold to stop for many photo-ops so I limited them to just a few and several short videos.

Frio and Willow were unconcerned about the weather, but Dr. K and I were more than happy to pile back into the CR-V.

So-so Morning

1st 3:  morning sky

Rather cold when Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I began our hike this morning; just the slightest of breezes, but the sun wasn't in full shine mode.

We did our usual trek and saw nobody out in our section of the desert.  We did see the man and woman with their Basset Hounds at the side of the road when we were driving up Tellbrook en route to the trailhead.

Found the OBD2 port on the 2015 CR-V when we got back and ran a diagnostic check of the vehicle.  Everything seems OK.
