We picked a beautiful trail to hike today, the Hubbell Canyon Trail (T-9277)--one of the highest in the Sacramento Mountains. We had to drive Commander about 4 miles on an unmaintained dirt road to get to the trailhead. It was worth it. Dr. K thought so.

The scenery was stunning.

New Mexico Thistles were loaded with butterflies.

The Beckster was enthralled with the views.

The trail wound through some of the largest meadows we've ever seen.

This was one of my all-time favorite hikes. Gorgeous meadows.
