Cool Outing


It was 39 when the Beckster and I started out this morning. The west side of Tortugas was in complete shadow.

Sunlight slowly filtered over the mountain.


Not snow, but the bedrock exposed by rapidly running water.

These Ocotillo leaves show a touch of Autumn.


We got far enough away from the mountain to luxuriate in the sun.

It's amazing that you can always find color in the desert. And the seasons do change in the desert, just in a subtle way.
