Oppressive Saturday


Very hot and humid this morning on the west side of Tortugas.

This large and garrishly-colored insect could be a type of blister beetle, though most I've seen have black bodies, not green.

We call her "The Tongue."

Just looking at this desert scene makes you want to sweat.



Potential: Barrel Cactus buds about to bloom.
