Provision Day Quickie

Jackrabbit at rest
We had to curtail our hike somewhat this morning because it's provision-resupply day here at the Chihuahuan Observation Center.

It was warmer this morning, with little wind.  All in all a very pleasant day for a hike.

I've had to work really hard over the past few years to break Becca of the impulse to chase Jackrabbits.  If one pops onto the trail ahead of us, she still has a hard time fighting the urge to chase, but she always stops at the "NO" command.
