Flowers in Bloom

Morning sky
It was Willow and me on the trek this morning.  We had a semi-close encounter with the Basset people and their hounds when we were in the upper reaches of the left branch arroyo; they were descending the ridge just east of us.  Lots of braying (Bassets) and whining (Willow), but no direct contact.  Later we saw the Pickup Truck Lady and her dog heading north along the ridge where we spotted the Swainson's Hawk atop its favorite yucca.

Lots of nice flower images, Packrat. My favorite is the one of the Feather Dalea.

Birds and Caterpillar

Looked like a Sphinx Moth larva from a distance, but no It felt really hot out there this morning as Dr. K, Willow and I did the daily trek....
