Another Post Precip Hike

A male Gambel's Quail
Between 2 and 5 a.m. this morning we got a good downpour mixed with thunder and lightning.  Fortunately the rain stopped before Dr. K, Willow and I set off on our daily trek.  Evidence of heavy rainwater runoff was everywhere in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.  There's a good chance of more rain later today.
