Back to the Chihuahuan Desert


A family medical emergency took me to Phoenix and the Sonoran Desert for ten days, during which time Dr. K took Research Associate Becca on her daily jaunts. But Packrat's back now, and snapping photos better than ever. How about this shot of a juvenile Western Kingbird on a yucca?

The Ocotillos have leafed out as a result of recent rains.
