Snakes-R-Us


On the west side of Tortugas Mountain Becca and I encountered this Big Bend Patchnose Snake, which was about 20 inches.

I tried to get a closeup while it was flicking its black tongue, but I couldn't time the shutter release correctly.

Here's a baby Barrel Cactus.

The desert was beautiful this morning, but hot.



Ocotillo forest.
