Low 40s when Dr. K, Willow and I started off this morning, but a cold wind made it feel half as warm.
We had a near encounter with the Basset people's hounds this morning; though we had seen them across Tellbrook Road when we started off they made amazing progress down LDR-A, coming abreast of us just before we headed toward the mountains on the east/west cross trail.
The hounds brayed loudly, and Willow, who was off-lead, started heading for them. Both Dr. K and I had to yell the "No!" command to get her to stop, but she did. We put her back on lead for a bit until the Bassets were distant from us. That was our excitement for the day;
