Another Toasty One

Willow in the left branch arroyo
This morning felt warmer than yesterday morning as Dr. K, Willow and I did our regular hike.

We saw the Basset people and their hounds way down on Tellbrook Road as we were driving east to the trailhead.  Because we were quite a bit ahead we didn't expect to see them again during our outing.

But just as we were about to climb the steep hill west of the right branch arroyo Dr. K called my attention to the adult Basset hound standing on the ridge at the top.  The others soon showed up, including the Basset people's new puppy.

They all began barking at us, and Willow reciprocated with whines, yips and barks of her own.  After that brief, distant encounter we all went our separate ways.
