Tuesday's Travels

1st 2:  Picacho and environs
Even though it was a tad cold this morning the conditions out there felt good; Dr. K, Willow and I enjoyed our daily trek very much.  We saw Two-White-Dogs-Lady and her pups while we were descending LDR-A arroyo.  Later, while we took a break at our favorite yucca in the right branch arroyo, a loose dog approached at a distance barking (not aggressively) at us.  The dog had a leash trailing behind it, the result of a careless woman companion who carelessly chose to let her dog run though the desert attached to a lead.  The dog backed off after encouragement from Dr. K and me.  The most interesting thing we discovered on our outing was a newly dug den, most probably belonging to badgers.  I have yet to see a badger in the desert even though they're year-round residents.  After our hike we returned home and I got ready to do my weekly shopping at Albertsons, which I did.
