Pico Mexicano

Westerly
Milky sunlight this morning as Dr. K, Willow and I did our regular hike.  We heard first and then saw, much later, the Basset People and their hounds; when we finally spotted them they were headed north along LDR in order to bushwhack westward through the desert.  The high point of the trek was seeing and photographing a Ladder-backed Woodpecker on an ocotillo in the right branch arroyo.  We took a long drive after the trek.

Long-distance shot of a Say's Phoebe

Willow relaxing in the right branch

The rest:  Ladder-backed Woodpecker (Pico Mexicano)

Nice images of the Woodpecker on the Ocotillo. It was a treat to be able to see (and hear) it this morning.
