Heat Won't Pass

First time we've seen Mr. Black Side-by-Side in months
It was unpleasantly warm this morning when Dr. K, Willow and I did our daily hike.  We're supposed to stay in the low-to-mid 90s for almost the next week.  We're a bit tired of the ongoing heat.

We did our normal route today, seeing early on the black side-by-side we used to see fairly often out in the desert.  We were wondering just recently about why we hadn't seen the vehicle in such a long time.

After our hike Dr. K drove me over to Casa Honda to pick up the 2015 CR-V.  The financial hit was less than we'd imagined even though the $535 tab was fairly steep.  The thing I'd worried about most as a possible cause for the rough starts and ragged idling--the timing chain--proved not to be a problem.  Gracias a Dios.
