Becca and I went on a really long hike this morning to commune with nature and speculate on the ultimate nature of life--this in the wake of George's passing.  To be honest, I don't think Becca was dealing with these issues.  She seemed more concerned with the various scents she encountered in the desert.  She's a dog, after all.
