A Break, Please

Early morning moon
We were on the trail a little after 7:30 this morning, and, as soon as we got going, we spotted a man and woman hiking on LDR, headed back to the high flatland.  They were the only outdoor enthusiasts we saw today, though we heard dirt bikers making a racket in the vicinity.

We trekked up to Second Arroyo, went inside for shade, water and photographs, and then returned via the same route we'd taken there.

The weather was pretty hot for an early September morning, and we appear to be headed for a high of 96F--well above normal for this time of year; in fact, we're at least ten degrees higher than usual.  It's that time during the late summer when I feel absolutely fed up with hot weather.  Fortunately we're supposed to be visited by a cold front this coming week that will drop temperatures significantly.

I like all of the photos of the moon. And of course I love the photos of Willow and Frio.
