Arroyo Segundo

Lone Soaptree
Because Dr. K had to take Willow to the vet this morning, Frio and I did the daily trek with only each other's company.  We saw two other hikers down by the major east/west arroyo, the man and woman who wear extra large hats; we see them often in our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert.

Mr. Frio and I trekked up to Second Arroyo, popped in for a shade break and to check up on Jerry Garcia before heading back.

Unfortunately it was a lot hotter than normal out there today with no breeze at all; we're headed for a high of 94F, well above the usual temperature for this time in late September.
