Pre-Wind Outing

This morning's moon
Dr. K returned from Tucson yesterday early afternoon, so she was with Willow and me on the morning trek.  We did our regular route, seeing Mrs. Basset and her hounds when we were up in the left branch arroyo.  One of the Bassets barked at us, but Mrs. Basset told it to be quiet, and it was afterward.  We saw the black side-by-side when we descended LDR-A--its dog peering out the passenger window--and we saw the side-by-side again leaving when we stood at our favorite yucca.  Best part of the hike today, besides beating the wind, was seeing the nest-building Cactus Wren and a Say's Phoebe.
