Thursday with Willow

This & next:  morning sky, opposite directions
Dr. K is in Tucson to attend the book festival with her sisters so Willow and I were on our own this morning.  While she and I were ascending the left branch arroyo we had a moderately close encounter with Mrs. Basset and her hounds.  The hounds--especially one--had a good time braying at us, which caused Willow to whine in return.  After they had passed we did some exploring up the middle branch arroyo and spotted a den that probably belongs to a fox or coyote.  We also saw our cactus wren friend sitting atop the yucca where its nest is nestled.

This & next 2:  Faxon Yucca in bloom

This & next 3:  more sky
