Little Rascal

Sprinkled on when starting off
Poor Willow got bitten by an ant on our morning outing today; afterward she was stopping constantly to lick at the bite site.  We're lucky the ant was the only thing that bit her; although I had her on lead she was heading for a young rattler when I spotted the snake and reined Wils in.  The snake was not happy about our presence and let us know about it.  We abbreviated the hike so we could get Willow home and get a Benadryl in her.  We also held a cold compress on her left foot, and within fifteen or twenty minutes the worst of the affliction had calmed significantly.  She's all better now.

Excellent images of the young Western Diamondback. Creepy. I'm glad you spotted it before Willow got to it.
