Some of the Locals


Here are several photos of some of the local residents that make life at the Chihuahuan Observation Center enjoyable: the beautiful male House Finch,
the adorable Desert Cottontail Rabbit,
the comical Great-Tailed Grackle (whose series of caws, clucks, clacks and wolf-whistles are sure you keep you in stitches),
and the North American Eyeless Hotdog.

Their cousins are living in the midwest whose fashion sense is obviously more conducive to extreme weather conditions and based on the assumption that one must wear black or brown to be considered totally sheek. However, the Hotdog seems to have it right avowing a preference for the universal vintage look.

The bird is beautiful...but the eyeless dog is weird. Does that breed run into cactus a lot...
