Aguirre Springs

Our research took us to the east side of the Organ Mountains this morning, where we hiked along the Baylor Pass Trail in search of noteworthy phenomenon. It was very hot already, and Research Associate Becca's tongue was literally hanging out of her mouth. We stopped for frequent water breaks in order to keep ourselves hydrated. and Sugarloaf--beneath which is the remote backpacking area named Indian Hollow.
On the way out of the Recreation Area we came upon a few soaptree yucca that were finally blooming.
