Because we wanted to get back to COC to hear President Barack Obama's inaugural address, our hike on the Monte Vista side of Tortugas Mountain was short. We did notice some interesting things, though, like this helicopter hovering in the valley.
We soon realized that the copter belonged to a crew working on high power lines.
