Winter Redux

Dense clouds over Tortugas
With a temperature just below freezing this morning and a raw, persistent wind, winter revisted our section of the Chihuahuan Desert. It had been quite a while since I donned vest, anorak, gloves and hat with ear flaps to hike with Becca.  She felt no need to put on extra fur.  We actually shortened the trek because of the weather conditions.  Surprisingly we ran into a mountain biker and two joggers on the mountain.  Some people just can't get enough of the great outdoors it seems.
