Low Country Then High

On the trail in the low desert
We started off in the low country this morning and, by noon, were in the Sacramento Mountains, where we'll be until Sunday afternoon.  We'd hoped to get away earlier, but couldn't pull it off.  It's beautiful up here.  We just watched a young Mule Deer cross our property on its way into the upper forest.
