The New Normal?

Caught a distant glimpse of a Trickster.  Can you see him?
The Sunset Area side of Tortugas Mountain wasn't too crowded when Becca and I set off on a moderately long hike this morning, but we couldn't believe our eyes when we returned.  It was easily the most packed we'd ever seen it.  The parking lot was overflowing, cars were parked like dominoes on either side of the road, and people were pulling in hunting for parking spots and pulling out when they couldn't find any.  I don't know what was going on, but if this side of the mountain is going to continue to be this busy on Saturday mornings the Beckster and I will have to start hiking on the Monte Vista side again.

It's neat to see the ocotillo flower a few days after you photographed it this week, Packrat. And I guess I can't blame people for enjoying a beautiful day in the desert.
