This & next: how green is our desert?
|
73F when Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I set off on our trek this morning; fortunately weather conditions weren't quite as brutal as yesterday. It felt hot and humid, but a slight breeze helped alleviate the heat.
We did our regular hike, and saw no one (of a human kind) in the process; we did see birds, bees, and a stray Black-tailed Jackrabbit, which, praise the lord, neither of our Heelers spotted.
All during our outing Dr. K and I kept commenting on how green our desert has become over the past few days due to monsoon moisture. Chance of rain later today as well.

Beautiful photos of the Black-throated Sparrow. I loved listening to its birdsong.
