In-Betweener

First 4:  clouds over the mountains
We were able to do our regular hike on a very cloudy, humid morning today.  Chance of rain increases this afternoon as another front rolls into the desert Southwest.  We're under a flood watch from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning.

Several months ago Dr. K and I were saying we'd never seen our section of northern Chihuahuan Desert so dry, and now we're saying we've never seen it so green.  The copious amount of rain we've received of late has really greened everything up.

The cooler temperatures of the past few days have really been appreciated by all hikers in a crew of four.

This & next 2:  abundance of Dayflowers
