A Slight Rain Delay

1st 5:  view of the Organ Mountains
When we got up this morning it was raining lightly; nevertheless, we had to take Frio and Willow into the backyard to do their business.  By the time we started off for our daily trek the worst of the rain had subsided, though we did get sprinkled on at the trailhead.

We were fortunate that heavy clouds blocked the sun for most of our trek, and a nice breeze provided evaporative relief from the stifling humidity.  We didn't see any other nature lovers out there while we were hiking, and critter numbers were few--mostly small birds.

We got our exercise in today, and all seemed to enjoy the outing.

Even a faint rainbow is a sign of good luck. Beautiful images of the dynamic clouds and sky.
