Horrid Hike

This & next:  Willow and Frio in the right branch
It was absolutely miserable for Willow, Frio and me this morning on our hike:  hot, humid, ant infested, and filled, apparently, with biting insects.  I got bitten quite a few times by either flies or mosquitoes despite wearing picaridin.

When we reached the junction with the right branch arroyo Willow headed straight up it; there was no dispute about which way she wanted to go.

We made only one brief stop for shade and water; the ants were simply everywhere today; therefore our outing was cut short by half today.
