1st 2: same Fishhook Barrel Cactus
|
Although it was almost unbearably hot out there this morning, it wasn't as bad as yesterday; two days removed from the rain showers and higher humidity made a difference in terms of biting insects. There were still plenty of ants about, though.
Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our regular hike, all of us anxious for the outing to end. Happy to get back to the air-conditioned comfort of the CR-V we rode home anticpating a cold shower before getting ready for our (Dr. K and I) trip to Walgreens to get our second shingles vaccination.
What a shock to see a crew of Las Cruces utility workers digging up a broken water pipe on our road; and an even bigger shock was the discovery that we had no water at our home. No shower before heading over to get our shingles shots.
