Altered by Necessity

1st 4:  Tortugas and the Organs
As we approached the trailhead this morning we saw that another vehicle (passenger) was parked near our spot; somebody was sitting in it with the driver's door wide open.  We drove up to the Sonoma Ranch intersection where ten or fifteen vehicles were parked; it looked like the drivers were participants in a scheduled run.

We turned around and drove to our old parking spot in the upper flatland road near the crest of LDR and decided to descend the long dirt road heading north.  When we crossed the Tellbrook Arroyo we headed east and explored side arroyos we've often explored in the past.

We retraced our steps and finished the trek with all hikers--Dr. K, Willow, Frio and me--satisfied with the outing.  Took a drive afterward before going home.
