Adolescent Fishhook Barrel Cactus

Dr. K, Willow, Frio and I did our regular hike on a slightly chilly morning. Fortunately the sun shone brightly and there wasn't much of a breeze. We saw the Basset people and their hounds when we were driving up Tellbrook, and we saw them again when we were ascending the right branch arroyo and they were headed down LDR-A.
After our trek we drove over to the Circle K to fuel up the CR-V, and we took a short drive afterward. Heading down University we decided to make a detour to McDonald's to buy a couple of Egg McMuffins and two small coffees. I had a bit of sticker shock when we saw the price: $!2.00. The Egg McMuffins were $4.50 each! Granted we hadn't been to Micky D's in about six years, but I was really surprised by the price rise.
