More Forest Fun

Up high
We decided to stay here another day so we took advantage of the fine early morning weather to do another forest hike.  We did a bit more strenuous trek today, adding further exploration of familiar territory that looked unfamiliar due to recent rains.

When we got back to the cabin we did some chores we'd been meaning to do for a while.  I replaced all the batteries in the Oregon wireless rain gauge:  rain collector, sensor and indoor monitor.  I replaced the plastic rain barriers on the inside of the accordion window apparatus for the downstairs AC.  And I read the water meter for our well.  Dr. K vacuumed the upstairs carpet and the steps leading down to the ground floor; she also vacuumed the downstairs rug and the kitchen floor.  Now we're both pooped.

We've accomplished a lot of this trip to the cabin.

Beautiful images of the gorgeous landscape. Interesting glider plane that was flying above us.
