Nest Building

Spot the blooming Faxon Yucca
Another morning hike sans wind, a phenomenon very much appreciated by Dr. K, Willow and me.  Best part of today's outing:  watching a Cactus Wren nest building.  We heard the hounds barking and saw Mrs. Basset heading down LDR-A when we were just ascending the left branch arroyo.  I went shopping at Albertsons after we got home.

Great images of the Cactus Wren building its nest. I can't wait to see more of him (or her), though I know we can't get too close.
