
The forecast was for rain today, and it did rain a little before we set out on the west side of Tortugas Mountain this morning. The light was dynamic, as this photo shows.

The shadow and light on the Organs was worthy of a painter's attention.

For a while it looked as if the skies were clearing.

Looking to the south, however, revealed angry weather.

This is the cloudburst we got caught in, the one that completely soaked Becca and me.
