
Research Associate Becca and I had to make a business trip to El Paso this morning, so we decided to hike in Franklin Mountains State Park afterwards. We were surprised to find snow blanketing part of the area.

The Franklins were as beautiful as ever.

Here's an artsy shot of this section of the Chihuahuan Desert.

Obviously the snow remains in the shadowed areas of the mountain.
