Hiking the Franklin Mountains II


We wanted to hike up to West Cottonwood Spring, but the 2006 flood made the trail very difficult. So we trekked up to Mundy's Gap instead.

The Gap bridges the saddle between the west and east sides of the mountain.

This view is looking to the east.

How'd you like to live in that house? Actually, it's an old observation station.



Barely visible here is the northeast side of El Paso.
