Long Post-Labor Day Hike

Starting out
We put some miles on our bods this morning, hiking from the Sunset parking lot to the distant loop road on the southeast side of the mountain.  We saw nobody in the outback; we heard no-one, either.  No "gunners" shooting off rounds for sport.  The weather was near perfect for this time of year, sunny but cool, a slight breeze to moderate the heat.  The only bad thing about today's hike was that it had to end.
