Gorgeous flowers. I also miss Big Bend. It's one of the most beautiful places in the country (world?).
Especially beautiful images today, Packrat.
Do you ever go into the bosque near the Rio Grande? When Kali and I visited Las Cruces and spent a day in Old Mesilla, we saw that there was a state park along the river, but we didn't have time to explore. Is it worth visiting and, if so, why don't you have some images there once in a while?
Do you not got to Big Bend because it's so far away? How far is it from Las Cruces?
So many questions...

We have been to the Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park, and it is, indeed, a place worth visiting. The problem for us is that Becca has to stay on lead in the park, and that detracts somewhat from the fun. I recommend a visit if you're in this area again. It's about 365 miles from here to Big Bend, a six-hour drive or so. I think we got slightly burned out on the drive since we used to go twice a year.
