Loving the Lincoln National Forest

We spent over two hours hiking the Osha Trail near Cloudcroft, New Mexico this morning.  The weather was cold when we started off, but it soon warmed up.  We only encountered other hikers when we got back to the trail head, and then we were glad for our good luck.  It was either a school outing or a church group, and they were quite boisterous--something that always detracts from the quiet glorly of the natural world.
