Midweek Trek

Becca and I got a really early start on our trek west of Tortugas Mountain this morning; in fact it was so early that the temperature was still 25F.  Good thing there was no wind.  I wore the hood up on my coat and gloves for a good quarter of the hike.  But things warmed after that; we're headed for a high of 56F.  There weren't many outdoor enthusiast about, but we did run into a woman and her husband hiking with their German Shepherd.  We see them fairly often, a quite friendly bunch.  They wished us a Happy New Year, and we wished them all one in return.  Well, at least I did.  Becca and the Shepherd just eyed one another.
