Mostly Cloudy to Partly Sunny

Clouds at start
Becca and I got an early start on our Tortugas Mountain trek this morning, and for much of the way it felt humid enough for rain to start at any moment; it didn't, though.  The wind picked up and started moving massive clouds about, eventually letting the desert sun shine through.  Even though I wore only a long-sleeve shirt beneath my Marmot PreCip jacket I felt warm enough to consider either unzipping the pit zips or taking the outer garment off altogether.  The increasingly strong wind, however, convinced me to keep the jacket on, and by the time we got back to Whitey the CR-V at the trailhead I felt glad I'd left it on.  Becca was fine in her painted coat of white and black, and she never once complained about the weather conditions.
