Around Here

First 3:  Apache Plume
Dr. K and I decided to opt out of our regular Saturday morning hike; instead we walked the Heelers up and down the arroyo beside our house two times and then took them partially up our road.  Willow hasn't yet learned how to behave well in the neighborhood, and she pulls relentlessly despite the vibrating collar vibration and noise.

After our brief trek in our "local" I showered and then went outside to snap a few photos of plants on our property.  Of course I had to include a few photos of Frio and Willow as well.

We had an incredible storm last night--often called a "gully washer" back in the Midwest, where I'm from--and it came down so hard that we sprung a small leak in the skylight over the front door entrance way.  This won't be the first time I've had to climb onto the roof to repair that problem.
