Arroyo Again

Somewhere on the long dirt road
Hot this morning on our now regular hike.  On the way out we bumped into a friendly guy who ran past us on the outbound leg and ran past us again while we were taking a respite in the second "new" arroyo.

On our way back in we encountered the archer who had set up his target and had already been practicing before we reached him.

As we turned onto the dirt road from Tellbrook before starting off on our trek I had to stop the CR-V in order to get out and move a small refrigerator somebody had dumped in the middle of the road.  It was a half-size fridge, fairly light, so I had little trouble rolling it off into the desert.  Frustrating as hell that somebody chooses to dispose of an appliance that way instead of doing it legally.

Vibrating collar I bought for Frio works better on Willow

Frio spots a lizard

I'm going after it

Who needs a lizard anyway?

Same as above

Those dried-out yucca pods look like they belong on a modernist piece of sculpture.
