Shooting the Moon


Research Associate Becca and I stuck to the west side of Tortugas Mountain this morning. She made a new friend with whom she played nonstop for 25 minutes. I'll try to get a picture of him the next time we run into him. What I did photograph was this ocotillo, which is almost devoid of leaves. Winter can't be far behind.
Here is the exhausted Research Associate who, after this pit stop, still had the energy to search for jackrabbits.
