Clear and Cold


The chill factor was 29 degrees when Research Associate Becca and I set off on the Tortugas Mountain trail, sunset side this morning. Just looking at this sunny vista you'd never know how cold it was.

The desert dog was running free, smelling under every other bush.

Becca thinks she should be in a movie. What would her Hollywood stage name be?

Why do yuccas make for such picturesque photos?


At the center left of this photo you can just make out the trail that wraps around Tortugas's flank.
