After a Big Storm

Yesterday it rained for hours and hours--into and through the night as well.  When Becca and I started out around Tortugas this morning it was still sprinkling, so I didn't take my camera.  In the afternoon we took a drive out toward the Organ Mountains to take some photos of the snow.  It was a beautiful, dynamic afternoon in the still chilly Chihuahuan Desert.

Hump Day Hawk

Tortugas and the Organs We got a fairly early start this morning so it wasn't hot at all:  62F.  The cloud cover helped the temperature ...
