The Desert, After Rain

Ocotillos and a long expanse of Chihuahuan Desert
We had a significant amount of rain yesterday, and it was greatly needed and greatly appreciated.  The cool air the front ushered in was wonderful, and it felt almost chilly this morning.  I brought a jacket, but never put it on.  Becca and I logged a lot of miles on our paws as we plied the outback region surrounding Tortugas Mountain.  The only people we saw were a pair of ATVers riding the dirt roads.  They were respectful riders on machines that were properly mufflered; I have no problem with people like that.

We sure need the rain, even though I miss the sunshine.
