We had to return to the low desert today, but not before a morning hike on the Bridal Veil Falls Trail. It was a highly-abbreviated trek, though, as we had to get back fairly early. The only drawback to the glorious hiking conditions was the mud that plagued several sections of the trail. Try as we might we couldn't avoid slopping through some of it, so our boots (Dr. K's and mine) were pretty well encrusted with dirt by the time we got home. I wiped Becca's paws off at the trailhead, but when I filed her toenails later the Dremel dog tool was kicking out chunks of dried mud.

I feel sad that we had to leave the high country and go back to reality (my job).
High Rolls is reality, too, Dr. K.
